Data Transfer (also sometimes called Bandwidth) is the amount of data bits you can transfer each month before exceeding the package limits.
You can check your data use via the control panel at any time.
We currently calculate data transfer based on the amount of website traffic sent and received during a calendar month; we reserve the right to include email and other traffic within the data transfer if we need to in the future.
Each application your website runs will benefit from its own database and multiple MySQL databases are included with every package.
Used in combination with our global nameservers our DNS services allow you to create all common record types and point parts of your domain to third party services.
If you only have one website but have multiple domains you want to point at it, our packages include the ability to add domain aliases to duplicate or redirect visitors to the content on your mail website. For example we can alias purelywebsite.com to purely.website so visiting either shows the same content, or so that the .com redirects to .website.
Forward email sent to something@yourdomain.ext over to some other email@otherdomain.ext
All email messages on the system are limited to 52MB before headers and encoding (this generally means 45MB or less for all attachments, the body and headers). You will find third party email services have limits smaller than this (Google 25MB, Hotmail 25MB) and larger emails may bounce from these services.
Email is not a file transfer protocol, please use your website or other cloud service for the distribution of large emails.
Rate-limiting on the number of emails per hour also exists to protect the stability and reputation of the system.
Store email sent to something@yourdomain.ext so it can be read on your device (desktop, laptop, , tablet, mobile or all at the same time).
When you step out of the office for an extended period it can sometimes be helpful to let people know when you will be back, every forwarder and email mailbox has this capability.
For your website to operate you need to upload content, this content is stored on our high speed highly available flash storage as files and databases.
The total size of the files (such as PHP and images) and databases (such as MySQL) together make up the storage use to fit within the quota of the package.

Our web servers support both FTPS (secure FTP / explicit FTP over TLS) and traditional FTP ensuring security and compatibility.

OPcache (using OPcode) enables PHP scripts to be precompiled into memory to dramatically improving the performance of PHP applications and is fully supported on our platform.
We choose to provide you with convenient access to your files via FTPS and SSH without limiting to IP or VPN, as a result you may find stringent PCI ASV (assured scanning vendor) scans against your purely.website generate a warning because of these exposed services.
We are working on solutions to allow these scans to achieve a passing status.
PHP is included with every web hosting package with generous memory allocation, upload settings, support for opcode and the latest versions.
Customisations of PHP settings are supported through php.ini and .htaccess.

Using the latest generations of Intel and AMD processors our servers have plenty of capacity for most demanding websites built using common frameworks.
When you want to quickly 301 (permanent) or 302 (temporarily) redirect one URI to another without diving into .htaccess you can use our control panel to easily configure.
We offer no discounts to resellers or agencies but we are working on to make it easier to subscribe and manage many subscriptions.

Inbound SMTP is supported securely using STARTTLS (port 25) and submission (port 587) and falls back to insecure for compatibility (port 25).
Likewise outbound SMTP permits your website to send relevant functional emails to your employees and customers (no mass mailing please).
SSH is available with every account exclusively for the purposes of administrating your websites software.
SSL is included FREE with all domains by way of automatically renewing letsencrypt secure certificates.
Web services are configured to deliver both security and compatibility with the following TLS versions:

Sub-domains can be added as dedicated websites with their own package and settings and capabilities. It is also possible to apply sub-domains as domain aliases.
For avoidance of doubt www is considered inclusive with any hostname (domain.ext includes www.domain.ext and sub.domain.ext includes www.sub.domain.ext).
All prices are listed without VAT / +VAT.
All customers are charged VAT irrespective of type and locality without exception.
It is the customers responsibility to reclaim VAT through their local tax office where applicable and available.
In addition to FTP and other file services a comprehensive web based file manager is available via the control panel.
Roundcube email is provided for easy access to emails on any device with a web browser.
A website is a single instance of your domain name and content. Examples:
- purely.website and www.purely.website are the same website.
- purely.website and purely.website/faq/ are the same website.
- shop.purely.website is a different website to purely.website
Our hosting packages all include 1x hosted website.
If you delete a website from your hosting package, you can then add a different or the same name.
