Gmail and Yahoo DMARC Requirements
In October last year, Google & Yahoo announced that any email addresses sending more than 5000 messages a day must have a DMARC record in place.
If you plan to send over 5000 messages a day to either Google or Yahoo addresses then you must have a DMARC record/policy within your DNS. These emails must have a passing DMARC record or the emails won’t be delivered. This also includes any email services that send emails on your behalf, such as newsletter providers or similar. As the most popular email providers, Yahoo and Gmail are helping combat spam by focusing on validating email addresses. Domain-based Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) records help prove to ISPs that you are a legitimate serious sender of the emails. While we have mentioned this really only applies to people that are sending over 5000 emails a day to the big email providers, its generally recommended you add one to your domain anyway. We have a technical support guide for implementing a DMARC DNS record and ensuring DKIM is enabled on your domain via the control panel.Keep updated with the latest from purely.website
