Spam Settings

Managing spam effectively is crucial for maintaining a clean and secure email environment, In this guide will walk you through the process of locating and adjusting these settings.

As well as the below you can improve your email security with DKIM and DMARC records.

Accessing the spam settings

  • Login to the control panel.
  • Click on the website you wish to setup the spam settings on.
  • Using the top menu, click Emails.
  • Click on the mailbox you wish to edit.
  • Click on Spam Settings to open the configuration panel.

Spambox

The spambox threshold determines how aggressive the filtering is. Lower numbers indicate stricter filtering. Adjust the slider to be more strict or more permissive. The changes are automatically applied.

Reject

The reject feature helps prevent unwanted or harmful emails from reaching your inbox by blocking messages that are identified as spam. Any email flagged as spam by the system will be rejected outright, meaning it won’t be delivered or stored in your mailbox. Adjust the slider to be more strict or more permissive. The changes are automatically applied.

Greylist

This setting temporarily rejects emails from unknown senders on their first attempt. Legitimate email servers will try to resend the message after a short delay, at which point it will be accepted, while many spam servers won’t attempt to resend. This setting may slightly delay the delivery of some legitimate emails from new senders. If you are having trouble with slow delivering emails, you should increase the setting. Adjust the slider to be more strict or more permissive. The changes are automatically applied.

Allow/block list

Pretty self explanatory, accept or block inbound emails from specific email addresses. Messages sent from email addresses on your allow list will automatically bypass any spam filters for guaranteed deliverability. Enter the email you wish to allow/block click the allow or block button to add to the list.
