You may just want to use your account for hosting email for your business or website, to do this the process is the same as if you did wish to host a website, just you don’t need to upload any contents for your domain. It is strongly recommended you make use of our nameservers for your domain name. I would also recommend enabling DKIM to help your email deliverability (You do need to be using our nameservers for this to automatically apply).
Adding the domain
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click Add Website.
- If you have multiple packages, ensure the correct one is selected from the drop down.
- Click the Start from scratch box, enter your domain name minus the www. and click Add.
- That’s it your new domain has been added.
Adding the mailboxes
- Login to the control panel.
- Click on the website you wish to setup a mailbox for.
- Using the top menu, click Emails, then click Add Account.
- Enter the email address you wish to create, e.g. Jamie.
- Select the account type, in this case we are going to setup a Mailbox.
- Enter your Full Name if you wish.
- Create a password, or use the secure password generator by clicking the key icon, make a note of your password.
- Click the Add button.
That’s it, as long as you’re domain name is making use of our nameservers as mentioned in the beginning then you’re good to go. You can also set up this email in your favourite email client.
