Platform setup

This section is for the is for the initial setup of your reseller account where we walk you through setting up the platform domains, name servers and more…..

Platform Domains

These are the addresses used to access the web hosting services under your own custom domain names. These allow your customers to access the hosting services.

When you login to your new reseller account, you will see the left menu, click Settings, then Platform.

Here we will set the main reseller platform URLS. In this example we’re going to be using yourodmain.co.uk.

Control panel domain

The main hosting control panel access.
Example: cp.yourdomain.co.uk

phpMyAdmin domain

Database management phpMyAdmin access.
Example: phpmyadmin.yourdomain.co.uk

Global webmail domain

Provides access to Roundcube webmail services.  Avoid using mail. for this subdomain as this is used for your email MX records.
Example: webmail.yourdomain.co.uk

Staging domain

Its recommended to use a separate domain name from your yourdomain.co.uk – Your customers staging domains will be theirdomain.stagingdomain.co.uk.

Example: stagingdomain.co.uk – The nameservers for this domain name must be using your custom nameservers.

Nameservers

It’s recommended you use all three nameservers, ns1.yourdomain.co.uk, ns2.yourdomain.co.uk & ns3.yourdomain.co.uk.

You will be shown the DNS servers IP‘s you need to use for the glue records. Make a note of these for required A/Glue records.

Create the DNS records

  1. Click Websites using the left hand menu.
  2. Click on the domain name you wish to add the records to.
  3. Click domains, click the 3 dot menu, then manage.
  4. Click Add records, then add an A record for each of your nameservers, ns1, ns2, ns3. Use the IP addresses you previously noted down from the nameserver platform step above.

Glue Records

If your domain name is registered with us, then you will need to raise a ticket for us to set them for you. If you’re domain is hosted elsewhere you would need to contact the registrar to make these changes for you.

  • ns3. = 134.122.62.156

Language

Set your preferred default language. Note that some are still in beta.

Prohibited domains

Here is a list of banned domain names that customers can’t add to the control panel. You can customise the list and add your own at the botton.
