Cloning a website will make a direct copy of the website, including all existing files and databases.
Email accounts will not be cloned.
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you want to clone.
- Next to the screenshot of the website you should see a clone button, click this and choose either, Clone to existing site or to a new website.
Cloning to an existing website
If you choose to clone to an existing website you will be presented with a few options, the destination site, any files you wish to exclude, to include the database, delete the source files and if it is a WordPress website to find and replace the old domain name with the new one in the database.
Cloning to a new website
Cloning to a new website is much simpler, it just offers the option to select the package and new domain and again if the website is WordPress based it will perform a find and replace the old domain name with the new one in the database.
