Connecting to an MSSQL Database

This guide assumes you have already created an MSSQL database and associated privileged user within the hosting control panel.

SQL Server Management Studio

1. First open SQL Server Management Studio and enter the database connection information.

For the server name use mssql.pipeten.co.uk

For the login enter your database username

For the password enter your database password

Leave everything else default.

1. Click connect and you should then have access to your database in the object explorer on the left.

If you have not connected successfully please check the credentials you have supplied.
