Installing your own SSL certificate

While we do provide free Lets Encrypt SSL certificates, some customers may want to install their own SSL. In this guide we’re going to walk you through the process. This guide also presumes you have a copy of your SSL, Key and chain file in PEM format.

1. Login to your control panel, https://cp.purely.website
2. Click on the website you wish to manage.
3. Click Advanced, Security, Under the SSL certificates header, click Install Custom SSL.
4. Make sure your main domain is selected from the drop down.
5. In the first Certificate (CRT)* box, paste your SSL certificate, then in the same box paste your chain file directly after with no spaces.
6. In the second Private key* box, paste in your SSL key. Then click Upload.

That’s it, your custom SSL should now be installed and working. You can test this using our SSL checker tool, https://purely.tools/tool/ssl-lookup.html
