This guide has been broken down into two sections, Global domain name transfers & .UK domain name transfers.
Global domain names – .COM, .ORG, etc
This section of the guide is for .com and similar domain names, for any .UK domain names, please see the second part of this guide below.
Note: First you need to ensure you have access to the registrant email for the domain name. This can be checked and updated here.
1. Log in to your Purely.Domains account.
2. Go to your My Domains page.
3. Click on the domain name to load the domain overview page
4. On this domain Overview page you can see all the details for your domain. First, to allow the transfer we need to disable the registrar lock
5. Click on the Registrar lock under the Manage Menu and click Disable Registrar lock. Once disabled click back to Overview
6. Now we are back on the Overview page, click on Get EPP Code
7. The EPP code will now be emailed to the registrant’s email address to give to the gaining registrar to initiate the transfer.
You can now use the EPP code to initiate the transfer with your new registrar. Note: These transfers can take a week to complete.
