Some applications, especially Moodle 5.1 now require a higher MySQL version than is typically provided, namely MySQL 8.4.
Attempts to install Moodle on an unsupported system may see the error below and not be able to continue with installation:
“version 8.4 is required and you are running 8.0.x”
