CNAME records

A CNAME record (Canonical Name Record) is a type of DNS record that maps an alias name (e.g., www.yourdomain.co.uk) to the true domain name (e.g., yourdomain.co.uk). These are useful if your main domain IP address changes, then the alias automatically follows the update. It makes managing sub domains or aliases a little easier.
