In this guide we will walk through the changing of all your account passwords
Control panel password
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- In the top right you will see your profile avatar, click this, then click My account.
- To change your password, click Reset, enter your new password then click Save.
- As an extra security measure, scroll down to Devices, and click Log out of all devices.
FTP passwords
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you wish to change the FTP password on.
- Click Advanced, then FTP.
- Click on the FTP account, under Password, click Reset, enter your new secure password and click Save.
SSH passwords
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you wish to change the SSH password on.
- Click Advanced, then Developer tools, click on SSH password authentication.
- Click Reset, enter your new secure password and click Save.
Mailbox passwords
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you wish to change the mailbox password on.
- Using the top menu, click Emails, click the mailbox you wish to change the password on.
- Under Password, click Reset, enter your new secure password, click Save.
MySQL user passwords
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you wish to change the MySQL user password on.
- Using the top menu, click Databases, Then Users, click on the MySQL username you wish to change the password for.
- Under Password, click Reset, enter your new secure password, click Save.
Note: Now you’ve change the MySQL user password, you will also need to update this within your websites connection string.
