Accessing the file manager
- Login to your cp.purely.website account.
- Using the left menu, click Websites, then click on the website you would like to manage the files for.
- Using the top menu, click Files.
- Here you will see the file structure, by default your website files are within the public_html folder. This can be changed if required.
Actions
Once within the file manager you can do a number of tasks, right clicking on a file/folder will bring up the actions you can do:
- Get info – Shows the information about a file/folder. The size, modified time and the permissions
- Cut – Using for cutting and pasting files/folders
- Copy – For coping and pasting files/folders
- Rename – Renaming your files/folders
- Compress – For compressing files/folders into .zip files to make easier to download
- Uncompress – For extracting compressed files/folders
- Permissions – Setting CHMOD permissions to files folders.
- Delete – For permanently deleting files/folders.
