Pointing your domain to Adobe Portfolio

If you’ve created a website using Adobe Portfolio and wish to use your own custom domain (e.g., www.yourdomain.co.uk), you’ll need to configure your domain’s DNS settings accordingly. This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your domain to Adobe Portfolio.

Step 1: Getting your Adobe Portfolio IP Addresses

  1. Log in to your Adobe Portfolio account.
  2. Navigate to Settings, Domain Name.
  3. Click on Connect your Domain Name.
  4. Note the two IP addresses provided. You’ll need these for your DNS configuration.

Step 2: Setting up the DNS Zone

  1. Log in to your purely.website account.
  2. Using the top menu sub menu, click Domains.
  3. Using the left side menu, click Manage DNS.
  4. Click, Add DNS Zone, from the drop down select the domain name you wish to use.
  5. Ensure the domain is showing correct domain in the DNS Zone Name and click Confirm.
  6. Leave the default option DNS record set Empty – No default DNS records.

Step 3: Setting up the DNS records

You’ll need to create four A records to point your domain to Adobe Portfolio,

  • Record 1

    • Type: A

    • Host: @

    • Points to: First IP address from Adobe Portfolio

  • Record 2

    • Type: A

    • Host: www

    • Points to: First IP address from Adobe Portfolio

  • Record 3

    • Type: A

    • Host: @

    • Points to: Second IP address from Adobe Portfolio

  • Record 4

    • Type: A

    • Host: www

    • Points to: Second IP address from Adobe Portfolio

Step 4: Apply the Custom Domain in Adobe Portfolio

  1. Return to your Adobe Portfolio account.
  2. Navigate to Settings, Domain Name.
  3. Enter your custom domain name (e.g., www.yourdomain.co.uk).
  4. Click Apply.

That’s it, you now just need to wait the for DNS to propagate. NOTE: This can take up to 24 hours.
